Before turning into a trot singer, he also worked in guide vocals, individual activities, and animations, and his name was slowly known by participating in "Tomorrow is Mr. Trot," which he appeared in 2020, but he was already known as a talented artist in the music industry.

After turning into a trot singer with the song "You're Perfect," he began to gain popularity with "Why Are You Out Of There," which contains his experience. Since then, he has won the second prize at Mr. Trot, raising his profile significantly and marking his first heyday as a singer.

His vocal style is a high-pitched, accurate technique and even pitch that crosses three octaves. In particular, there is a sharp vocalization unique to "Young-tak," and many say that the high notes made by such vocalization are cool.

Special note

In the past, you can find the appearance of the hidden singer Wheesung on JTBC as a participant. Even though the Hidden Singer Wheesung episode was quite a popular episode, the fact that Young-tak appeared here and went up to the third round became known only after Mr. Trot aired. Unlike now, he is wearing glasses and getting a perm, and as he was originally an R&B vocalist, he is also outstanding in singing in other fields besides trot. In 2014 and 2015, he released albums with the same Wheesung impersonators. In addition, when he was a college student, he majored in advertising, which had nothing to do with music, but he wanted to listen to Wheesung's songs and come to Seoul to do music, and finally walked the path of a singer.

At the time of his appearance in Hidden Singer, he was briefly teaching at the same time during his long years of obscurity. It also said there was a vocal cord nodule crisis during the filming. Nevertheless, he said that he dreamed of becoming a singer once again because he tasted the stage after a long time.

He also participated in several cartoon OSTs, including Yu Hui-wang, Bonobono, SpongeBob, a brief review of blood types, surviving in Lincoln's home, and Pokemon Sun & Moon.

Although he was imprinted as a trot singer, he was a ballad singer, as well as a good rapper, and he was in charge of rap as well as vocals during his L-Class days.

I'm not good at running. As you can see from Mr. Trot, he came in last. So I chose a dance trot and my colleagues booed me. Then he made an excuse, saying, "It's not fun if the current department does an authentic trot." As a result, the challenge of the dance trot was a great success.

He is known as a former Andong MBC Children's Choir. So I came out as an invited singer and performed at a regular presentation in 2019. It resembles hip-hop singer San E and comedian Choi Yang-rak.

He is called my brother by Shin In-sun, Kim Soo-chan, and Lim Young-woong because he is considerate.

Special note 2

Perhaps because of his long career as a singer, there is a link archive that fans are gathering to make because of scattered data.

A 14-year-old girl listener, who appeared on Hurricane Radio in TBS FM's Choi Il-gu on April 5, 2020, who did not reveal her name, reportedly said she was originally Ami and transferred to Young-tak, and sent a story-and-answer proposal asking her to wait and marry her, making the radio host and herself laugh.

On March 4, the same radio broadcast above, she appeared with Kang Jin, the original singer of "A Glass of Makgeolli." Kang Jin lavished praise on Young Tak's delicious song and thanked him for making his song known to the public a lot Later, he sang "A Glass of Makgeolli" in the order of Young-tak and Gangjin versions, and during the live, Kangjin handed over two tickets per Shin Saimdang, saying, "Our Young-tak is pretty, so I want to give you some pocket money."

It was revealed in the April 8 broadcast of MBC Radio Star (Golden Fishery) that Young-tak's mother was found to be shamanistic. When Young-tak was a high school student, even though his mother was attending a church, Young-tak continued to perform major surgery due to the crash of a third-floor railing, which eventually led him to visit a shaman to set up a court and walk the path of a shaman before the operation for Young-tak. My mother wanted Young-tak to choose a stable job rather than a path to a singer because she had been a public servant for a long time, but Shin-ryeong said, "I will be a singer that the whole nation knows, so let me go."
