BTS Jimin Solo 'Filter'Shortest 30 million Spotify in 37 days since its release, 'Setting a New Record in Korea'
Thirty-seven days after the release of its fourth full-length album, BTS Jimin set a new 30 million streaming record for the shortest time among Korean solo songs on the world's largest streaming site "Spotify."
"Filter" was ranked as the most streaming TOP 5 on Spotify in 2020, ranking fourth among all BTS songs and first among BTS solo songs. Since its release, it has also been receiving the hottest love of all songs besides its title track, topping solo tracks on five major music sites in Korea, including the No. 1 world wide iTunes solo track and charts in 83 iTunes countries.
U.S. Billboard Hot 100, British and Canadian Main Charts simultaneously 'Triple Crown'
The world's two biggest pop charts, the U.S. Billboard Hot100 and the UK's official chart, also simultaneously entered the main chart of the Canadian Billboard, achieving the triple crown and becoming the pride of K-pop. In particular, the U.K. chart with high entry barriers showed high popularity as it entered as the only BTS song except for the title track "On."
The world's largest e-commerce company, "Amazon," was ranked No. 1 in best-selling for six days, and has been on YouTube Music's most-played Korean artist solo track, and is currently on a daily record with 18 million.
In IZM, Korea's representative album review, "Filter" evaluated Jimin's solo song "Filter" as a good result and was included as the only solo song among eight recommended songs out of a total of 20 tracks.
Filter, who dominated major music charts around the world with an unprecedented solo record in K-pop history upon its release, broke the high barrier in the global music market without a music video, and was significant in showing the potential of another K-pop.
Meanwhile, BTS will appear on "HOMEFEST: JAMES CORDEN'S LATE LATE SHOW SPECIAL" on CBS' "The Rate Show with James Corden."
