Lee Chan-won, a Trot Outer Life
Lee Chan-won, in fact, has been enjoying singing trot since childhood and sweeping various singing competitions. In short, he is not a surprise star. We learned about his life, which he has loved trot steadily until now.
I grew up listening to trot music
Trot prodigies were not made for nothing. It was largely influenced by the family who used to listen to trot songs. He said he has heard trot since he was around the age of three through albums at home. The self-infused trot melody began to play in the fourth grade of elementary school. He has never learned anything else, but has honed his so-called "bending" skills, which are considered essential elements of trot, and his skills have been revealed to the world through KBS1's "National Singing Contest." In addition, SBS's "Star King" showed an organ that beat all the regular songs in addition to the trot songs at the time, drawing attention early on. It surprised everyone that he was a 12-year-old kid who was attending Suwon Elementary School in Daegu at the time.
Since I was a student, I've been faithful and steady.
Then, how was your school days? He was an honor student who headed the elementary, middle and high school student council three times. There is something special that I wanted to be an MC, not a singer. The reason was that while appearing in "Star King," MC was attractive because he was the leader who led the entire show. After that, I watched TV and even practiced hosting the show by myself through questions and answers. As a result, he has been preparing for the career of not only singers but also general entertainers since his childhood.
Since then, he has made a series of appearances and booked a spot as a future trot star. He appeared a total of four times on "National Singing Contest," the epitome of the trot gateway, and showed his potential by being invited to the year-end final stage, including the Popularity Award, Excellence Award and Best Award. In addition, Korean male stars can continue their activities without interruption by solving the mandatory military service problem early on.
The line-up process was not smooth. There was opposition from the family. His father, who wanted to live a normal life, reportedly disapproved of Lee Chan-won's dream of the entertainment industry as a teenager and had opposed it for as long as 10 years. But if it was intelligence, it would have been a sweet day. My father is now a stronger supporter than anyone else. It is known to the world that all the solo songs I sang at the TV Chosun's "Mr. Trot" contest were chosen by my father.

Trot is no longer adult music.
Until now, trot has been exclusive to middle-aged people. In the music industry, it was considered a genre that singers who did not stand out in their youth looked for as the last breakthrough. Some singers even openly say, "I don't like trot, but I have no choice but to choose."
But it was different for Lee Chan-won. He loved trot since childhood and was able to wear wings through "Mr. Trot." As a difference from other winners, he is the only 20-year-old among adults who can lead the revival of the "young trot." The music industry expects him to become the mainstay of the Korean trot in the future.
